The Kyuhaku Guidebook for first-time visitors to Kyushu National Museum

The Kyuhaku Guidebook is a social narrative with photographs and clearly-written information on Kyushu National Museum (or Kyuhaku for short). With this resource, visitors can know what to expect during a visit. This guide is designed to support neurodivergent individuals and companions in planning stress-free visits to the museum.

The Kyuhaku Guidebook (For Companions) contains detailed information on visiting the museum. Please feel free to use both guidebooks together.

Individuals with sensory processing differences may also refer to the Sensory Map to identify sensory-friendly spaces prior to their visit. The Sensory Map labels sensory inputs such as light and sound within the museum.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone at Fukuoka City Support Center for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (Yu Yu Center) for their generous support in making this guide possible.
