After opening in October of 2005, Kyushu National Museum is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. To commemorate this milestone, we are holding a Special Exhibition, Kyushu’s National Treasures: Kyuhaku’s Bounty. Following the theme of treasures, we will showcase National Treasures related to Kyushu and Okinawa. Featuring the highlights of our bountiful collection spanning the past 20 years, surprises and delights await you in this Special Exhibition.

Sundays, Tuesdays–Thursdays
9:30–17:00 (last entry at 16:30)

Fridays and Saturdays (Kyuhaku After Five) 9:30–20:00 (last entry at 19:30)
*Please note that Kyuhaku After Five hours are subject to change.

Closed:

Mondays (except Japanese public holidays falling on 21 July and 11 August), closed on 22 July (Tue)

Actor Takano Akira

From Fukuoka Prefecture
After performing as a member of Dream5 from 2009 to 2016, he has been active as an actor while pursuing his solo music career. Mr. Takano played Hizamaru in the musical Touken Ranbu, took the lead role of Nobu in the play, Kingdom, and appeared in the drama, After School Doctor (Nippon TV).

EBiDAN FUKUOKA is a Special Supporter!
