Odes to Nature
Art Nouveau Glasswork by Gallé and Daum

アール・ヌーヴォーのガラス ーガレとドームの自然賛歌ー

The late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century Art Nouveau movement was a far reaching one: in addition to having spread across the world, each country with its own regional take on “new art”, this taste for new and exotic art also spanned various artistic disciplines. Glass art was no exception, with French glassworkers Émile Gallé and the Daum brothers at the forefront of their artistic fields. Dive into the colorful, evocative world of Art Nouveau glass in this exhibition, which brings pieces from the world-renowned collection of the Kitazawa Museum of Art to Kyushu.
