Sundays, Tuesdays – Thursdays (Closed on Mondays*)
09:30 – 17:00 (Last admission at 16:30)
Fridays & Saturdays (Open at night)
09:30 – 20:00 (Last admission at 19:30)
Closing hours may change due to extenuating circumstances.
*If Monday falls on a public holiday or substitute holiday, the Museum will be open that day and closed on the following day.

Museum Facilities

Accessible Facilities
  • 15 wheelchairs are available for borrowing. Please ask the staff for more details.
  • There are parking spaces are reserved for visitors with disabilities. Please ask the staff at the parking gate.
  • For visitors travelling from Dazaifu station, please use the Rainbow tunnel. Contact the staff with the intercom if you would like to use the accessible lift. The visitor with disability can board the lift together with one caretaker.

  • Diaper changing tables are available in all the ladies restrooms and accessible restrooms.
  • Nursing room is located at the 1st floor.
  • For the safety of the child and other visitors, strollers are not allowed when the exhibition gallery is crowded. Please use the baby sling instead.

  • Assistance dogs are welcome in the exhibition galleries.
  • There is a toilet for assistance dogs outside the Museum. Please clean up after use for the next person. Pets are prohibited from using the facility.
