*Please note that the Museum Shop on the first floor closes at 17:00 on Fridays and Saturdays as

Museum closing days
The museum is closed on Mondays. If Monday falls on a public holiday or substitute holiday, the Museum will be open that day and closed on the following working day. The museum is also closed at the end of the year. For detailed closing days, please refer to the calendar below.

Tickets
The following admission fees apply for entry into the fourth-floor permanent Cultural Exchange Exhibition, and includes entry into any ongoing Feature Exhibitions and special displays.*

Please note that tickets purchased via asoview! are only available for the permanent Cultural Exchange Exhibition. Visitors who wish to see the Special Exhibition should purchase tickets directly from the ticketing counter at the museum, or visit the relevant online ticketing service as detailed in the Special Exhibition page.

Cloakroom
The cloakroom is located on the first floor of the museum building. Cloakroom services are free.
Lockers
Free lockers are available on the first and third floors of the museum building. Visitors will have to insert a 100-yen coin, which will be refunded after use.
Free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available inside the museum building, except inside the exhibition halls. Instructions on connecting to the internet are available here.
Portable translation devices
Staffed counters are equipped with portable translation devices that can translate from and into 74 different languages, allowing us to better cater to the needs of non-Japanese-speaking visitors.
Rental strollers
Strollers are available for rental. Please note that strollers will not be allowed in the exhibition halls when it is crowded. Our staff will provide rental baby slings instead.
Rental wheelchairs
We have fifteen (15) wheelchairs available for rental. Please see the section below on accessibility for details on other accessible facilities and amenities.
Rental slippers
Certain shoes may make loud noises when coming into contact with the hardwood floors of our exhibition halls. As such, we have made slippers available for rental to visitors who wish to change into quieter shoes. Rental slippers are available for free in the third-floor locker area, or from the information counter outside the Cultural Exchange Exhibition Hall on the fourth floor.
Nursing room
The nursing room is located on the first floor of the museum building. Diaper-changing tables are available in all female restrooms and accessible restrooms.

Sick bay
There are sick bays located on the first and fourth floors of the museum. Visitors who are feeling unwell may approach our staff for assistance.

Accessibility
Our museum is equipped with various facilities to make it accessible to a diverse range of visitors with various needs. In addition, we welcome visitors who need to bring their assistance and guide dogs into our museum and exhibition halls (pets are, however, not allowed to enter).
Platform lift
A wheelchair-accessible route to our museum from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station is available via the Rainbow Tunnel. This route leads up the mountain to the museum entrance, and is fitted with a platform lift. Visitors who wish to use the lift may speak to our staff via the intercom. Up to one person may board the lift with the primary user.

Accessible parking
Parking is free for visitors with disabilities. We also have designated accessible parking spaces. Please inform the staff at the carpark entrance, and present the relevant disability documents.
Accessible restrooms
Accessible restrooms are available on the first, third, and fourth floors of the museum (the second floor is a staff-only area).

Elevators
All floors of the museum are accessible via elevators.
Rental wheelchairs
We have fifteen (15) wheelchairs available for rental. Please approach our staff for assistance.
Toilet for assistance and guide dogs
Assistance and guide dogs are welcome in our museum, and may use the toilet outside the building. Please clean up the area after use.
