(1) Register for an account on the social media platform of your choice. For multilingual posts, please do so on Facebook.
(2) Search for “kyuhaku_koho” on Twitter and Instagram, or “Kyushu National Museum” on Facebook. Be sure to click on the “Follow” button to keep up with our posts!

Purpose
Kyushu National Museum has set up these accounts in order to provide information about how visitors may use our facilities, our exhibitions and events, as well as information about objects in our collections.
Interactions with Members of the Public
In principle, we do not follow or send friend requests to other users’ accounts. In the same vein, please note that we do not accept friend or follow requests to any of our social media accounts. We will not retweet on Twitter, repost content on Instagram, share posts on Facebook, or comment or reply to other users’ accounts. However, we may follow accounts operated by related organisations and institutions, and share, retweet, or report information from other museums, art galleries, and media outlets when deemed appropriate.
Account Suspension and Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or delete our social media accounts in the event that sharing relevant information about the museum, as outlined above, becomes difficult for unavoidable reasons.
Changes to this Operating Policy
We reserve the right to revise and update this policy at any time.

Intellectual Property Rights
Texts, images, audio, videos, articles, and other materials used on our social media accounts are the intellectual property of Kyushu National Museum and their respective owners, where applicable. With the exception of sharing contents internally on Facebook, reposting on Instagram, and retweeting on Twitter, reproduction of these contents is strictly prohibited.
Prohibited Comments and Posts
We would like to request that users interacting with our posts on social media avoid making comments or posts that:
- 1. Contravenes or may contravene laws and regulations
- 2. Are offensive to public order and morals
- 3. Promote criminal acts
- 4. Defames or slanders any given individual, company, or organisation, or attempts to damage their reputation or credibility
- 5. Infringes on any given individual’s privacy, such as by disclosing or leaking personal information without consent of the affected party
- 6. Infringes on third party intellectual property (patent, design, copyright, trademark, portrait, etc.) rights
- 7. Are intended for political, religious, commercial, or other similar activities
- 8. Are false or significantly different from the truth
- 9. Discriminates against, or encourages discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, class, familial background, etc.
- 10. Constitute spam-like content (e.g. copy-pasted text being posted multiple times by the same user)
- 11. Impersonate other users and third parties
- 12. Contain harmful computer programs or other types of malware
- 13. Alter part or all of the contents posted by our account administrators
- 14. Violate the terms of use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube
- 15. Contain any other information deemed inappropriate by Kyushu National Museum
- 16. Contain links and websites that violate our usage guidelines, as
outlined through points (1) to (15) above
*Kyushu National Museum reserves the right to remove comments that fall under points (1) to (16). Users who interfere with our operation of our social media accounts may be permanently blocked.
Disclaimers
1. Kyushu National Museum (hereafter, “the museum”) will not be held
liable for any content or comments posted by users of this page, or
third-party advertisements that have been displayed in accordance with
the social media network provider’s usage guidelines.
2. Although every effort is made by our administrators to ensure that
the information provided by this account is accurate, the museum cannot
be held responsible for any third-party actions using the information
posted on this account. For this reason, the museum accepts no liability
for any damages suffered by the user or third parties as a result of
viewing this account.
3. The museum will not be held liable for any damages suffered by users
or third parties in the event of conflict between the aforementioned
parties.
4. The museum is not liable for any other damages caused by matters or
events relating to the operation of this account.
