Hana-San, a model and Buddhist statue enthusiast, will join our curators to guide you through the world of Buddhist statues. They will discuss their favorite Buddhist statues, their charms, and anecdotes. Take off on a trip to the Pure Land of Buddhist statuary with us!

Pure Land Buddhist monks will deliver the teachings of Jōdo Shū through images, dialogue, and music.

Lives of Masters Hōnen and Shōkō”

(Cast: Team Ichidai-ki)
This film depicts the lives of Master Hōnen and his disciple, Shōkō. With images and
music playing in the background, monks speak lines from the script in a realistic
manner, recreating the lives of these two key figures. Join us as we walk in their
footsteps!
Jōdō Shū Fukuoka
Gagaku Association Chinzei Gakuso Concert

Monks will perform traditional gagaku music. Their performance will express the worldview depicted in the National Treasure, Haiya Raigō (owned by Chion-in Temple in Kyoto).
